Q. Does anyone smoke in your facility?
A. Absolutely not. We have a strict non-smoking policy and no one is allowed to smoke in or around the facility.
Q. Do you have any pets?
A. We do not have and have never housed any pets.
Q. Do you accept state vouchers for payment?
A. Yes, we do accept Maryland state vouchers as a form of payment.
Q. Are you licensed and accredited?
A. Yes, Friendly Home Daycare is a State of Maryland Dept of Education licensed daycare. In addition, all caregivers are properly trained and certified in CPR, first-aid, food and nutrition, and early childhood development.
Q. Do you provide any meals?
A. Yes, we provide two meals and one afternoon snack daily. All meals meet the Maryland state approved requirements for a healthy, balanced and nutritional diet.
Q. Do you offer school pick-up & drop-off transportation services?
A. Yes, we provide safe and reliable transportation services to/from any surrounding area school. Please contact us with details for more information and we will be glad to accommodate you.
Q. Do you have an outdoor playground?
A. We have a very large fenced outdoor area with a playground that is shaded by big beautiful trees. The playground offers swings, slides, monkey bar and outdoor toys.
Q. Do you have any references that I can call?
A. We have a list of parents who you can contact for reference. Please email us for contact names and phone numbers.
Q. What is your policy for handling falls or incidents?
A. If a child is injured at Friendly Home Daycare, our injury policy reflects that a parent be notified as early as possible. We are certified to provide basic first-aid measures including applying ice to bumps or washing open cuts with soap and water and applying bandages.
Q. What happens if my child becomes sick at daycare?
A. We understand that every child can get sick and this type of situation is beyond the parents control. If a child becomes ill, we will make him or her as comfortable as we can until the parent is contacted and is able to pick up the child.
Q. Is there an education curriculum?
A. We start our educational curriculum very early at the infant age with the award winning "Your Baby Can Read" system. Our program progressively becomes more and more detailed as children get older with simple shapes and colors then advancing to numbers and letters and other age-specific activities.
Q. Are there personal cribs for each infant?
A. Absolutely. We have individual cribs and playpens available for each infant child.
